Spider Veins and Vascular Lesions
Spider veins and vascular lesions are small, visible blood vessels that appear close to the skin’s surface, often forming web-like patterns. Spider veins are typically red, blue, or purple and are commonly found on the legs and face. They occur when blood pools in veins near the skin due to weakened valves or increased pressure. Vascular lesions, including spider veins, can also encompass other blood vessel abnormalities like broken capillaries. While generally harmless, they can be cosmetically bothersome, and treatments are available to reduce or remove their appearance for clearer, more even-looking skin.
